Poetic Justice little sister style
by LearningToFly innot to long ago, i emailed my sister an actual news article regarding pedophilia in the jw religion.
in the email i said, wouldn't it be great to send an anonymous letter to our father with this article in it, and let him panic.
well, i recently found out that she did mail it.. and since then has gathered together many different types of articles regarding child sexual abuse and has been sending them to him, with no return address on them.

Thanks! Chenoa means white dove. I don't know which Native American language that's in, though. I'm part NA. I wish I could freely ID myself. I hate posing undercover to hide from my bazillion JW relatives. One or more might be on this board so I must be careful. I often wonder how many people I know on this board but am not aware of it. I might "come out" once my grandparents pass on. They deserve better than for me to break their hearts.

Alright! Yay! That is a very cool poem. So much truth in it. I'm having fun being on the "other side" as a minority white woman in a traditionally black college. It's a real learning experience. I'm only one of two white students in every class of 50 or more. I now have the opportunity to clean out the stereotype closet by interacting in and studying about this culture and others in sociology classes and asking people if things are true or not. The first African-American literature class I took opened up a different look into the past than the one I was taught. I think it should be mandatory in all schools. Such a huge piece of American history is ignored. That's not fair. Anyway, it's been a real trip. I like Zora Hurston and Margaret Walker. I haven't read much of their works, but like what I've read, so far.

Firefighters are often the first to arrive at medical calls. They arrive before the ambulances do. I don't know why, but they get there first. Because of that, I would have to say that training all firefighters as paramedics would be a good idea. Changing one's job description after hiring is not fair, though.

We are all PERFECT just the way we are! There is no sin. The only sin there is is the club that others want to beat us with just to control us. We are all here to learn our life lessons and move on. We are not all here to learn the same lessons, though. Some of us have already learned the life lesson on how to get along with others in love and respect, and some have not learned that, yet. They will eventually learn this as Karma will see to it. I believe in the possibility of what I've said.

Reinstatements?
by sovereign inanyone who knows any articles in the wt litterature that explains why members who were disfellowshipped for not accepting a doctrine, not automatically becomes reinstated when "new light" confirms that the wt now accept the doctrine which the person was df:ed for in the first place?
(long sentence, but i think you get my point.....)

The term "new light" is unscriptural. There has never been "new light." The Bible speaks of "the light." It says that "the light" gets brighter. It's never "new."

Thank you! I still don't understand why df is not illegal. It tears apart the fabric of our society and promotes junenile delinquency by prohibiting parents from helping their df'd children. Kids getting baptized can't be legally binding, can it? If not, mine isn't as I was baptized at the age of 17.
